Tyler was admitted to practice in 2011, and began his legal career with Pratt & Boutillier, PLLC (now Pratt Boutillier Kirkevold & Farmer, PLLC), and Larson Berg & Perkins, PLLC (now Larson Griffee & Pickett, PLLC), both in the Yakima Valley. Tyler has practiced primarily in the Guardianship, Estate Planning & Probate, and Business & Real Estate areas. Tyler represents several Certified Professional Guardians and lay guardians in Yakima and throughout the state of Washington, as well as individuals and businesses working to ensure their legal matters are properly managed. Tyler enjoys meeting with clients to discuss their specific needs and ensuring that the proper solutions are put into place.


Tyler is a member of the Washington State Bar Association (including the Elder Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association), the Yakima County Bar Association, the Yakima Estate Planning Council, and is admitted to practice before Washington State Courts and the Federal Courts for the Eastern District of the State of Washington.  Tyler is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and its Washington chapter, Washington Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.


Tyler has been a presenter at continuing legal education seminars on various estate planning topics, and is active in the Guardianship and Elder Law communities.  Tyler obtained his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, and later attended Gonzaga University School of Law.


Tyler grew up in the Yakima Valley and feels a strong connection to the area.  Tyler has been involved with the Boy Scouts of America, including serving as volunteer legal counsel to and a member of the Executive Committee of the Grand Columbia Council.  Tyler also serves as the President of the board of the Yakima Estate Planning Council, as a board member of Montessori School of Yakima, and as a board member and Secretary of Yakima Specialties Inc., a local organization that provides supported employment opportunities to disabled individuals throughout the Yakima Valley.  Tyler has been an active participant in youth groups throughout Selah, Yakima and Ellensburg, and is always looking for ways to help strengthen the next generation of leaders.  Tyler has three children and they enjoy spending their time outdoors, doing projects around the house, and with Tyler's large extended family in the Yakima area.
